The Science and Engineering Fair's History
Contra Costa County businesses joined with K-12 educators to establish an Intel-affiliated Science & Engineering Fair in 2006. Prior to 2006, students interested in competing in the this world-renowned science fair were required to compete in San Francisco. The Grand Sweepstakes winners of the Contra Costa County Science & Engineering Fair (CCCSEF) go on to compete in the International Science & Engineering Fair each spring.
A limited number of student winners may also be asked to participate in the 2016 California State Science Fair competition and in the 2016 Broadcom Masters national competition.
